The new Art Education Center at Arts at Canal Place is currently offering classes taught by members and non-members during the months of July and August and planning classes for the fall months. Sample classes: Basketweaving, Calligraphy, Drawing, Art for Children, Fun with Art for Adults, Pastels, Mixed Media, "The Artist's Way", and Creative Paper Techniques. There will be a motorcycle ride and deck party Saturday, August 28^th. Registration will begin at 11 am, and will be held at the Volunteer Center, 1 Technology Drive, Frostburg (from I-68, take Exit 33 to Midlothian Road, turn right towards FSU, then turn left at Activenetwork sign). Ride leaves at 1 pm from the Volunteer Center. At 4 pm there will be a picnic and deck party at Maplehurst. Entertainment is provided by Revv & DJ MayheM. Door Prizes & Raffles, including Harley-Davidson merchandise, gift certificates to Independent Ink, Main Street Hanger, Patrick’s & more! A $15 donation includes ride, picnic, & party. If the ride is rained out, the party will still be held at Maplhurst at 4 pm.
